A long tradition of service!

Sierra International Machinery has it’s roots in the scrap business. In 1959, Ben Sacco and his partner Morris Rosenberg expanded their business by starting Sierra Iron and Metal Co. which handled all types of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap. The company, now called Sierra Recycling and Demolition, is one of the leading scrap dealers in Central California. As the company grew Ben Sacco saw a need to develop the equipment that would help him increase production.

It didn’t take long before Ben was using a single shear/baler/logger in his operation. When friendly competitors stopped by they saw how they could replace several pieces of equipment with this one unit. When they wanted to buy one, Ben said ‘Why not.’ The equipment division of Sierra International Machinery was born.

Today, Sierra International Machinery continues the tradition, providing the best equipment and service to industries we serve.
