Ben SaccoSierra International Machinery, LLC is a family owned and operated company.  Founder. Ben Sacco started Sierra Iron and Metal in Bakersfield California in 1959.  The company was renamed Sierra Recycling and Demolition but continues to be a major part of the business. As a recycling company, Sierra knows what it takes to be profitable in today’s competitive market.  

Over the years, Sierra has developed into the worldwide leader in the sales of scrap processing equipment.  Sierra represents the leaders in their fields, companies like Tabarelli, Idromec and Macpresse. Companies that have built a reputation for quality and value.

Joining Ben in the business are his sons, John Sacco, President, Sierra International Machinery LLC and Philip Sacco, President, Sierra Recycling and Demolition, Inc. 

2009 saw the introduction of the “Recycling Everything Baler”, the REB-1, a newly designed two ram baler built to handle non ferrous materials as well as OCC and paper.   

Sierra continues to be the leader in providing equipment, parts and service to the recycling and solid waste industries.  Through our fleet of factory trained service personnel and $8,000,000 in parts inventory, Sierra is there to help you maximum the performance of your equipment.
 

Our Divisions

Sierra has divisions involved in the sale of equipment for the scrap metal industry, recycling and solid waste markets. In addition, there are divisions for recycling and demolition, South America and European operations.
