The KN170 weighs 880 lbs., has a shearing
force of 50 tons, and the mouth of the shear opens to 7.8”.
Cranes that weigh at least 3 tons can mount the shear on the
main boom, while a crane must weigh at least 5 tons in order
to mount the shear on the second boom.
