The MACPRESSE Baler Supervisor® PLC provides an industrial grade computer to operate and control the functions of the baler or total system. The computer is Windows® based and programming allows for the baler to self-diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults. When a fault is detected the computer will sound an alarm and display the fault location and information. The information is displayed on the computer screen complete with a photograph of the item in fault providing easy identification to reduce troubleshooting downtime. The computer program is designed to track the downtime of each fault and provide daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports. A report of both accountable and unaccountable downtime is provided. Data calculating wire costs, electrical consumption, labor and production reports are also provided. A modem connection allows off-site service inspection and assistance is installed in the baler MCC. All activity is in real time and can be transmitted to a central office, showing the exact production functions of the baler and operating costs.
