Patented by MACPRESSE is a self-cleaning steel belt conveyor designed specifically for transporting MSW, commercial waste, paper, plastic, aluminum and ferrous cans. The construction is exceptionally heavy and ruggedly built to operate in the abusive environments often found in transfer stations and MSW baling operations and recycling plants.

The Macpresse conveyor is self-cleaning in two critical areas of construction. The roller chain is made with the internal link of the chain higher than the external link. This feature allows material that may enter the chain to work its way outward reducing material build up in the chain. This feature also prevents material from being trapped and carried into the gears of the head pulley and gearbox assembly. The conveyor blinds or slats bolted to the drive chain that has been shaped to provide structural strength for transporting material and avoiding damage during loading/unloading operation. The joints of the blinds or slats allow material to be conveyed without getting entangled during operation. The conveyor pit section is constructed with impact bars that have thick Teflon wear pads bolted on top and installed under the blinds to reduce conveyor impact when loading.
