The shredder frame and support structure is extra heavily constructed and designed to operate in the abusive environments of recovery and document destruction plants. Replacement components are bolted for easy maintenance. Shredder rotor supports are oversized and manufactured by Macpresse. The electric motor and rotor are coupled together with a special “anti-shock” flexible joint. The shredding rotor supports are designed to dissipate the heat produced by the rotating movement of the shredder rotors. The rotors are oversized and electronically balanced to prevent vibrations. Shredder teeth are made of hardened steel alloy and are attached to the rotor by large screws.

Shredder Options:
An integrated dust collection system is available to filter dust. Dust is discharged into a screw-auger which discharges the dust back into the hopper of the baler and mixed with the paper. The dust collector is complete with a bag house and all required filters, ductwork, fans and controls.
A complete sound enclosure is available to house the entire shredder. It is constructed with prefabricated insulated panels, access doors and lighting fixtures. Ample room is available to service the equipment.
A “Spark Detector” system is available and can be mounted above the shredder hopper and feeding conveyor. In the event of a problem, water is automatically pumped and sprayed into the hopper to prevent combustion.
